Diving with Mantas (Komodo) Part 2

fibrate, mantas do not have the poisonous/venomous sting like a sting ray..

He he, wildlife not my thing, but didn't a manta ray kill Steve Irwin?

Nope..it was a Marble Ray. Mantas generally do not have many predators apart from large fishes such as sharks. So not so much protection needed and hence evolved not to have the venomous spine located at their tails. hehhee
They are the gentle giants. Like the Whale Shark.. and Sunfish
